The curve on this headboard is the full width of the bed. Not a decorative arch at the top centre, not a slight rise at one side. The entire headboard top is a continuous curve from left post to right post. Cutting that profile from solid Sheesham requires consistent wood density through the grain. Sheesham has it. Softer woods chip at the outermost curve point when the profile is cut at this radius.

Sheesham veneer detailing is used at specific points on this frame to align the grain direction at the visual focal points. That's a different use of veneer from the MDF-core beds that use it as a substitute for solid wood: here the core is Sheesham, and the veneer is a finishing technique. The grain pattern reads cleanly where the eye rests on the headboard surface.
